Planning to Exhibit
at WasteExpo?
If you are an Environmental
Industry Associations (EIA) member (WASTEC or NSWMA) exhibiting at WasteExpo, please consider an equipment
or professional services donation for our upcoming equipment
auction or a donation to our Silent Auction. Many WasteExpo attendees make it a point to visit the auction
site, making your contribution both a wonderful source of
visibility for you at Expo, and an investment in the future of your
industry.
If you are not an EIA member, are not
exhibiting at WasteExpo or cannot meet the other
RULES criteria for donating equipment and
services, please consider a donation to our Silent Auction
(see below).
Equipment and Professional
Service Donations and Specialty Items...
EIA
member donations with a value of $1,000 or more (in accordance
with the auction Rules below) will
be displayed in a prominent area of EREF's exposition space
and each donor company is entitled to a one-page spread
in the marketing booklet describing their donated item.
EIA-member equipment donations with a value of less than
$1,000 will be included in a silent auction (see Silent
Auction below).
Auction
donors should submit the Auction Participation Form provided
below no later than 6 weeks prior to the date of the auction.
Due to auction booklet production deadlines, it is possible
that items donated at the last minute may not be included in
the booklet. If this should occur, such donors will be asked
to provide details and pictures of their donations for separate
distribution. Auction Rules will
govern the event and are outlined at the end of this page.
Donations tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Equipment donations provided over the years include:
-
Front
and rear loader refuse trucks
-
Hoists
with tarping systems
-

auction held in conjunction with WasteExpo.
These rules provide a framework to enhance the value
of the Auction to the donors, the EREF, and
WasteExpo.

satisfactory to WasteExpo. The donor need not
display equipment identical to that being auctioned.
- EQUIPMENT
LIMITATIONS: The equipment value shall not be less than
one thousand ($1,000) dollars based on the
manufacturer-published list price. This limit may
be adjusted from time to time by the Auction
Committee.
- TITLE:
Contributions to the Foundation are in the form of the

certificates of title for truck chassis shall be
conveyed directly from the equipment donor to the
successful bidder and not through the Foundation.

agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless
WasteExpo,
the EREF, and their officers and directors, from
any and all claims including, but not limited to,

the use of the equipment.
- TAXES:
Contributors are responsible for payment of the Federal
Excise Tax (FET) and the auction bid will be inclusive

TREATMENT OF CONTRIBUTION: The contributor shall be
responsible for determining the value of the donation
for purposes of determining federal tax treatment of its
equipment contribution to the Foundation, a non-profit
organization pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the
